I wish to thank each and every one of the amazing friends and family members who prayed for me and contributed towards this endeavour. It has left a deep mark on my soul and I am thankful for the privilege I was afforded to undertake this first trip. I didn’t experience any sickness, calamity, and very little spiritual warfare on this trip. I have all the amazing people that prayed and covered this trip in intercession to thank for that. Over a 120 people prayed for me and also for my family back home, who had also no attacks against them prevail during my time away. You have no idea how much it carried us. In fact I wish I could have that kind of prayer cover for our ministry in SA as well so if you are interested, please let me know that you will continue to pray for our ministry.
If you just wish to know more about the plan moving forward also let me know so I can include you in the comms loop.
Finally if you have a heart to see young people find Christ and don’t know how to go about doing it. Let my know!! I’d love to come share personally with you, what my wife and I are doing on the University campuses of SA and now the World!!!
Herewith my missions report:
The purpose of my trip was to assist our Every Nation Church in Nürnberg, Germany, in pionering a campus ministry as well as to establish relationships with our European Every Nation Campus ministry family for bring African Mission trips to Europe to hopefully raise more Campus ministry and church planters from Africa to Europe! Enroute I ministered at our EN Church in Gent, Belgium on the Holy Spirit and we prayed for about 25people over two services to be filled with power for witnessing about Christ.

I also attended the Every Nation European Leaders Summit (ELS) where Steve Murrel presented and ministred on his WikiChurch book that conveys the heart, philosophy and process of a discipleship culture. During this time I met many young leaders who are already busy with their second or third church plants. It challenged my thinking to realise that guys younger than I are already planting their second church in a second nation of the world! I left there truly inspired to trust young people to lead!

Campus ministry in Europe is not well established unfortunately! It is however a high priority item currently and therefore the timing of this trip couldn’t have been better. I’m radically trusting that God will help us to raise up young men and women, full of His fire to go and reach students in Europe but also for the EN churches in Europe to raise up student ministry leaders from their own ranks.

(Meanwhile I caught up on some history of Germany…What trauma haven’t his nation caused and now as a result have to process themselves as well.)
BUT REMEMBER: Germany was also the country where Martin Luther started the Reformation and the printing press was invented to be able to print bibles for everyone to read… A lot of redemptive history exists but often gets overlooked…
The last part of my trip was a student outreach to the Fredrich Alexandr University in Nürnberg. We spent a couple of days starting conversations with students on campus and sharing the gospel as many times as we could! By the end of our week we had led two ladies to the Lord and made many connections for the local leaders to follow up on. What stood out for me about German students were that they didn’t even consider the big questions of life worth thinking about and that so many of them just haven’t ever thought about the questions we asked them, like How they would describe God or What their main reasons for not believing in His existence were. It showed the spiritual apathy of Europe – faith is an irrelevant historical concept and some even asked us why we didn’t enquire about relevant matters such as career choices or fields of interest. However, when we shared the gospel their consciences were switched on again and the Holy Spirit were able to minister!
Students will respond to the gospel! The question is whether we can send enough people to go an share so that all can hear!!
Matt 9:38 – Jesus calls on us to pray that God will send workers into the harvest fields. I have set my alarm clock to 9:38am and every day I just take 30seconds to pray for Christian workers to enter the mission fields of all areas of society and every nation. JOIN ME!!!
It was an extremely successful trip that paved he way for many missions to Europe in coming years! South Africans are having such a powerful impact in Europe and We truly have a lot to give to Europe – if only we can look beyond ourselves and allow God to also move us and use us beyond our own nation and continent!
Pray for the Leaders of our EN church in Nuremberg as they follow up and continue the pioneering phase of the campus ministry. Also pray for Juvan as he prepares to move to Nuremberg next year to serve in campus ministry. Once he has completed the hand-over of his current ministry assignment in Stellenbosch and prepared all his documents and admin, he will relocate. Pray for a thorough yet speedy process for him.
Thank you for playing a part in this trip! We will go again and keep you posted! But right now, we got students on our own campuses that must be reached too! So the mission continues…in our backyard!
Every Nation Every Campus!
