Stop working for God’s acceptance!

You can never do enough to live up to His standards. Here’s what u should do:

Is11:5 provides a picture of Jesus. It depicts the root of Jesse with a belt of righteousness and a sash of faithfullness around his waist.

As Christians we know that the armour of God that helps us live righteous lives provide a breastplate of righteousness NOT A BELT!?

Why do Jesus have a belt of Righteousness and why does it matter to you and I?

The waist symbolizes the centre of power needed to perform or work! Jesus is the only person who was able to live a perfect life. His works was perfect before God and through that perfect life Hewas able to overcome death. As it had no hold on Him because he had no fault in him.

OUR BELT IS A BELT OF TRUTH. What truth?
1. We are sinful
2. We cannot save ourselves from the punishment of sin – DEATH
3. We need a Saviour
4. Jesus Christ is the Messiah – Saviour
5. Faith alone can access the salvation God provides by grace through the work/labor/effort/performance of Christ.

For anyone seeking God’s acceptance then, there is not a belt of righteousness urging us to work/perform/strive for acceptance by God, there is only a breastplate of righteousness that symbolizes the protection of the vital organs that sustain life! Our righteousness or acceptance by God is therefor is not by working for it through good living it is by faith in Christ’s work! Our breastplate based on grace through our faith protects our life in God.

You are accepted in the Beloved who worked for God’s acceptance and gained it on your behalf!

Stop working for your own righteousness and accept Christ’s righteousness by putting your trust in Him alone for your right-ness or acceptance before God!
